RACE RULES & RACE TIPS
__________________________
USAT Competitive Rules are properly enforced. The Competitive Rules are intended to provide for the orderly and consistent administration of events sanctioned by USA Triathlon and are not designed to establish standards of care for the safety of participants or other persons. Every participant, official, volunteer and spectator should consider all safety issues and make related decisions prudently without reliance upon the Competitive Rules.

EVENT TIMING
__________________________
We use timing chips on disposable self-adhesive ankle bands, body marking or temporary race number tattoos, helmet numbers, bike frame numbers, wrist bands and bib numbers to insure we keep track of you during the race and provide you accurate results. Please wear the ankle band on your left ankle. Please attach your bike frame number to your bike before checking into the bike transition area.

All racers will receive an electronic timing chip on a disposable self-adhesive ankle band. Relay Teams will receive a band for each member.
-
All racers will receive a wristband - this is important to wear throughout the event to enter all racer only areas.
RETRIEVING YOUR BIKE AND EQUIPMENT FROM RACE TRANSITION
__________________________
-
Be sure you still have your body marking or race bib number and the provided wrist band to retrieve your equipment from the race transition area.
-
This area is controlled for your safety so we can insure only racers enter the area and take only their equipment.
-
Racers will be allowed to retrieve their bikes after the last biker returns from the bike course or as soon as race staff feels like they can safely escort racers to their bike rack location without interfering with another participants race.
-
There is an exit gate marked in transition - please look for this gate to retrieve your belongings - this gate is not typically the bike in / out or run out area, but a neutral location that allows those that finish early to remove items while others are still racing.
