We are excited to celebrate 35 years of this event in 2022! This race has become a favorite for participants from Beginners to the Elite due to the scenic, fast course, and of course, the infamous tie-dye shirts and awards. The city of Guntersville offers a warm welcome with great community support from local police & emergency management and local volunteer groups, so don't miss this wonderful long-running tradition!

The 2022 race will also be host to the USA Triathlon Alabama State Championship where the top 35% or top 5 finishers in an age group (whichever is greater) will qualify for the 2022 or 2023 Toyota USAT Age Group National Championships (AGNC). Any high school state championship finisher will automatically qualify for AGNC sprint-distance.
