Sebastian Haupt, Nolensville, TN
Sebastian feels community outreach and involvement are essential to his happiness. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run of Middle TN and acts as Wellness Champion on the Wellness Committee where he works. He has persuaded many friends as well as his girlfriend and mother to all join the tri life at Team Magic races. Sebastian moved to the U.S. from Germany when he was 10 and most of his family still live there. He says his passion for biking stems from his uncle who has a bike shop in Germany who joined him for a week long cycling adventure across the Italian Alps in 2013.
Why Sebastian likes Team Magic events: Team Magic events are always organized with good communication, and the staff, volunteers and participants are helpful, supportive, and encouraging. My first race in 2010 was the Music City Sprint Triathlon and it was an overwhelmingly positive experience that got me hooked on the sport. From my Mom to my co-workers, I’ve made sure Team Magic events are their first exposure to the sport.
Motivational Quote: My personal philosophy and advice is to be “plus one”. Always try to one up yourself. Be better today than yesterday. Be better tomorrow than today. Be consistent. Don’t worry about being the best, just focus on being a better you every day and you’ll be surprised how far that will get you.
2018 Race Schedule: Music City St. Patrtick's Day Half Marathon, Capital of Dreams Tri, Chattanooga Waterfront Tri, Music City Tri and Cedars of Lebanon Tri
