March 24-25 - Powerman Alabama Multisport Weekend at Oak Mountain State Park, just south of downtown Birmingham.
Races include the USAT Elite Duathlon National Championship & PowerKids Duathlon (Saturday) and the Powerman Alabama Duathlon (10k/60k/10k) & Double Oak Duathlon (5k/20k/2.5k) (Sunday)
April 22nd - Birmingham, AL - The Sterne Agee Birmingham Levite JCC Triathlon is jumping to a month earlier for the 3rd edition. The swim and bike race distances have also been shortened and the swim will be indoors to avoid the cold outdoor water in April. This is a great first time event in a great location.

NEW for 2012: Kids Duathlon being held with LJCC Triathlon! Ages 8&Under
May 19th - Lebanon, TN - just east of Metro Nashville - this popular sprint triathlon is held at the beautiful Cedars of Lebanon State Park, about 35 miles outside of downtown Nashville. The swim takes place in the newly resurfaced first olympic size outdoor pool in the Nashville area, more than 30 years old! The park setting is beautiful and the support from park staff and the Friends of Cedars volunteers is the great. Be sure to register early as this race sells out each year.
Why the date change and reduced distances? With the cancellation of the GJCC Triathlon traditionally held in the Nashville area in May, Team Magic and our host partners at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park decided to use this venue to keep a super beginner friendly shorter triathlon in the spring/early summer.

June 9th - Birmingham, AL - Celebrating 25 years in 2012, this race honors the life of Buster Britton - one of the Birmingham area's original triathletes that lost his life in a fun run after completing the Hawaii Ironman only a short time earlier. Buster was a true inspiration for triathletes as the sport began to take shape in Alabama. While this race is attractive for beginners, it is also widely respected by seasoned racers - it serves as the state of Alabama Best of the USA Amateur National Championship Qualifier and as part of the USAT Southeast Junior Development Series.

June 23rd - Hendersonville, TN - just North of Metro Nashville - 2012 marks the 11th year of this unique triathlon where the run is split into two segments. Great local support by the cities of Hendersonville & Gallatin & Sumner County adds a special touch.
The Sumner County YMCA will play host to this race for the 2nd year. Team Magic is excited to partner with the YMCA to bring you a fresh, new atmosphere for hopefully many years to come!

July 8th - Chattanooga, TN - This sellout intermediate distance triathlon has quickly become one of the top races in the southeast. Brought to you by Chattanooga Track Club and Team Magic in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Be ready for a fast, down river swim, a challenging bike course and a scenic run along the city's riverwalk. Chattanooga is a great place to bring the family too!

July 21st & 22nd - Nashville, TN - For the 4th year, this 34 year old triathlon will be held in downtown Nashville, adjacent to LP Field, home of the NFL Tennessee
Titans. Two race distances are offered. Racers will swim in the Cumberland River, bike traffic free on a completely closed Ellington Parkway, and run through the heart of downtown Nashville's business and entertainment district. For the 2nd year, a Kids Duathlon on Saturday during the pre-race expo and packet pick up. The Intermediate Distance will be a USAT Southeast Region Special Qualifier for the USAT Age Group National Championship and the state of TN Best of the USA Amateur National Championship Qualifier. The Sprint distance race is part of the USAT Southeast Junior Development Series.

August 11th - Guntersville, AL - This sprint race is not to be missed - a favorite for from the beginners to the elite due to the flat, fast course, great post-race pool side party, and of course the infamous tie-dye shirts and beach towels! Has held the honor of USAT Sprint National Championship. Come see what all the talk is about - decide early, this race will sell out.

the 2nd edition of our Vaco Brentwood Kids Triathlon.

Team Magic, the Brentwood Endurance Athletic Team and the Maryland Farms YMCA bring you the 2nd edition of the Vaco Brentwood Kids Triathlon.
This family friendly event is being held in conjunction with the new Girls Tri It On Nashville.

Sept 8th - Gulf Shores, AL - The Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon and its' little sister the Coastal "Tri It On" Triathlon will be hosted by The Hangout for the 4th time in 2012. Enjoy a perfect race setting with the gulf of mexico, your main staging area, finish line, packet pick up, pre-race dinner and post-race party all in one spot, at one of the few restaurants sitting on the beach... welcome to The Hangout... a 1950's beachside hangout brought back to life in the same location. Team Magic partners with the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission and the cities of Orange Beach & Gulf Shores and Gulf State Park to bring you the best beach race around. Choose from an intermediate distance (olympic) race or a short, beginner friendly triathlon - either way, the party is on us.

November 24th - Orange Beach, AL - Shed your turkey with us at the beach on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Bring the whole family to enjoy the weekend on Alabama's beautiful gulf coast. From a 1 mile fun run to a 5k run to a half-marathon run - a distance for everyone. Enjoy running on the peaceful, scenic paved trails through Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, then join us for the post-race party at the Orange Beach Sportsplex - plenty of beer for those 21 and over and lots of other food and drink sponsored by local beach restaurants.
The Half-Marathon Distance has been awarded the RRCA Alabama State Championship.
