Welcome to Team Magic's Whistlestop Duathlon!

You may not know it... but without the Whistlestop, there would be no Powerman Alabama! Powerman Alabama grew from the original Whistlestop Duathlon in Irondale, Alabama. The event was named the Whistlestop based on Irondale, Alabama being the true home of the "Whistlestop Cafe" from the novel and film "Fried Green Tomatoes." We added the Powerman Alabama race the next year, but kept the Whistlestop as a shorter distance option.

The Whistlestop race runs along with the Powerman race, separated only by wave starts.

 

Whistlestop Duathlon selected as USAT Short Distance Duathlon Regional Championship.  In addition to standard race awards, special awards will be distributed to Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Juniors and PC champions from the Southeast region.
