klonerAmy Kloner - Atlanta, GA - USA
Occupation: Specialty sales rep in the pharmaceutical industry, triathlon coach with The Sport Factory, and Race Announcer.
Top 3 favorites races and why:
1) PMA: there is no way to sugar coat this race -- it is just HARD. But I have been racing it since 2006 and it is a good jump start to my season. Plus the friends I have made in duathlon have been incredible. I really think that duathletes are special-- it's just so much tougher!!
2) Gulf Coast: It was my very first half ironman back in 2003, and then I won the race in 2008, so it will always be special to me as a reminder of what is possible with hard work and dedication.
3) Eagleman: I only raced this once (in 2009) but I loved the crowd support and the course really suited my strengths. It's a very well-run event.
Favorite food item: Do I have to pick just one? I love everything! I really love Lebanese food though (tabouli, hummus, grape leaves), and only the kind that my Mom or Grandma make. Store bought Lebanese food is just not the same!
Top three wins: Overall Amateur World Champion at Long Course Duathlon Worlds in 2007 (and finished 8th among the pro field); 2007 Long and Short Course Duathlon National Champion (amateur); 2008 Gulf Coast Half Ironman Overall Winner.
Last book or magazine read: EAT PRAY LOVE

Favorite food item: this one is easy: anything with chocolate! ok, ok, if it has to be healthy, a perfectly ripe peach.
Top three wins: 2008 Elite Duathon National Championship, 2006 Powerman Ohio in the freezing rain, 1994 Saturn Duathlon outlasting defending World Du Champion Carol Montgomery
