COURSE DESCRIPTION
200 Meter swim / 11.5 mi bike / 2 mi run

This event is timed with IPICO Electronic Timing - follow this LINK for info on IPICO timing, your personal race number and the event wrist band.

Staging Area Overview (swim/transition/finish)

Bike Course Map (11.5 miles)

Run Course Map (2 miles)

SWIM DESCRIPTION: 200 meters
The swim is in the pool. You will enter the pool in an "interval start" fashion. Participants line up by race number (beginning with the lowest number to the highest.) Race Numbers are assigned based on your estimated swim time you submitted when you registered. If you would like to start at the back, that is fine. Your racking position in transition is also organized by your race number.

One person at a time enters the pool and begins swimming when given the start command. Swim down the first lane, touch the wall, go under the lane rope, swim down that lane, and continue the same process until you exit after swimming 4 lengths for a total of 200 meters. You exit the pool at a "zero degree" entrance/exit area for a smooth exit. Volunteers will direct you to the transition area where you will begin your bike segment of the race.

BIKE COURSE: 11.5 miles
The bike course is a great mix of rollers and fast, flat sections. Much of the course is on the McMinnville Bypass, with very low traffic and plenty room. Expect great support on the course from the City of McMinnville and Warren County officials.

RUN COURSE: 2 miles
The run course is very residential. The course travels through neighborhoods surrounding the host facility. There will be a hydration station as you exit the transition for your run start and on the course. The finish line is just adjacent to the pool and transition area, making it a great place for your families and friends to cheer you in!

acmeRACE SUPPORT
ACME Multisport will be on site for race support on Saturday morning and during registration hours Friday - they are there for emergencies, not complete tune-ups so be sure to have your bike checked before you come to the race.

ACME Multisports will be set up during the expo selling those last minute items you might need.

Notes on Categories and Awards

Follow this link for important RELAY TEAM INFORMATION

1st Overall Male & Female AquaBike: notes about Aquabike - this category is for those that want to do the swim and bike portions only. You will finish your race when you return your bike to the transition area. There is no finish line to cross. Please be sure to turn your timing chip in at the race finish line. Your swim and bike time will be recorded by timing mats and totaled to determine the Aquabike winner.

Your category CANNOT change once the race starts. If a category is not indicated when you register, you will be entered as an individual. If you choose Beginner, you will fall back in your age group if you do not win an award in your chosen category. PLEASE CHECK YOUR LABEL ON YOUR BIB NUMBER WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR RACE PACKET - notify us of any errors before the race begins.

Beginners are defined as:
racers that have competed in three or fewer triathlons and have not received a race award.
Click here for TIPS for beginners.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT GETTING YOUR AWARD:
You can only claim your award at the award ceremony or have someone pick it up for you if you have to leave. Awards will not be mailed. Please be sure to check the draft race results when posted at the race site to see if you will be getting an award or, if you must leave right away, pick a friend to listen at the ceremony for your name. We hope you will choose to stay for the ceremony and celebrate everyone's accomplishments that day - there are also random prize drawings! Hope to see you there.
