For more information or to join call 879-0411 and www.bhamjcc.org.
GREAT BEGINNER EVENT

COURSE MAPS
Site overview: Swim to Transition, Bike Course, Run Course - PDF version
The Swim: The swim is planned to be in the LJCC indoor pool, but may be in the outdoor pool if the water temperature is safe.
You will enter the pool in an "interval start" fashion. Participants line up by race number (beginning with the lowest number to the highest.) Your race number is assigned based on the estimated swim time you provided when you registered.
SWIM NOTE: You will be running through the LJCC from the pool area to the transition area - through the building, so be safe as you go from outside to inside and back outside again.
The Bike: The bike course is an out-and-back course on Montclair Road - mainly flat with cones separating a lane for bikers only.
BIKE NOTE: Please take your time at the bike turnaround at mile 3. On the four-lane areas of the course, bikers will stay inside the cones toward the middle of the road heading east until turnaround and cars will be in the outside lane. Bikes will then take outside lane after turnaround heading back west to race site. The cars will then be on the inside lane.
The Run: The run course will be 2 miles total - one mile out and one mile back on on side walk and some nicely surfaced "off road" trails through a pretty wooded section just adjacent to Montclair Road.
RUN NOTE: You will stay right on your run as you exit and please remember you are sharing sidewalk and grassy areas NOT Montclair Road to and from the wooded section of the run. Stay right as you head back to the race finish line. There will be cars on the road, so as you head out on the run course, please be cautious and try to stay on the sidewalk. Bikers will also be heading back to transition while many runners are headed out on the run, so just remember - STAY ALERT - cones will separate, thanks!

Important Note About Our Event Awards
Team Magic hopes you will join us after each race for the awards ceremony - this is the grand finale of each event and is held very soon after the final race finisher.
Our awards are most often product awards and a recognition award of your placement. We do not ship awards or make them available for pick up after the awards ceremony is completed. Please make arrangements for someone to pick up your award at the event or plan on staying for the awards ceremony. Award categories are available on each race web page.
Preliminary results will be posted as soon as possible at the race site - the location will be announced by our race announcer. If you see that you will be receiving an award but cannot stay for the ceremony, please designate a fellow racer, friend, or volunteer to claim your award. All awards not claimed at the race site will be distributed to race sponsors, city officials, race supporters and at future race prize drawings.
Complete race results will be posted on our web site as soon as possible after each event, usually within 24 hours.
