Welcome

This sellout intermediate distance triathlon has quickly become one of the top races in the southeast. Brought to you by Chattanooga Track Club and Team Magic in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Be ready for a fast, down river swim, a challenging bike course and a scenic run along the city's riverwalk. Chattanooga is a great place to bring the family too!

This downtown triathlon takes the place of the popular Chattanooga Dam Triathlon of years past and the original Riverbend Triathlon from "many moons" ago. The Chattanooga triathlon tradition began over 25 years ago. We are happy to keep it alive and hope you agree we have developed one of the best races in the country - not to be missed!

Look for a great weekend expo, wonderful downtown Chattanooga restaurants and entertainment, and a fantastic day of racing along Chattanooga's revitalized waterfront. For newcomers and veterans alike... Hold onto your tri bars- we are promising you a great weekend!

Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon and Alabama Coastal Triathlon are part of the Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Championship. For more information on the series, please visit HERE.

Course Overview

Awesome event for spectators. Watch swimmer rom the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge as they come down the river or there is plenty of viewing around the transition area and finish line plus a fun expo with a mix of booths to entertain your friends and family while you race.

Swim Course: Point-to-point swim in the Tennessee River. A true favorite to all swimmers as there might be a slight current to help you to the swim finish. Start area info below.

Bike Course: This course is challenging but fun. Racers seem to love it. Prepare for some long, steady inclines and the complimentary fast downhill sections on the other side.

Run Course: Much of the run is on a paved greenway along the Tennessee River. You will earn the flat sections as you climb up a steady hill out of the downtown area, but you get that hill in reverse as you approach the finish line! One fun set of stairs to connect you from Riverfront Parkway to the Greenway. Pure out and back course so lots of good company and a great chance to see your friends (and competition!)
