March 27-28 - Powerman Alabama Multisport Weekend is now at Oak Mountain State Park, just south of downtown Birmingham - hopefully our permanent home.
The nationally acclaimed offroad trails also opens the door for the addition of a new Trail Run and XTERRA Off-Road Duathlon.
Other races on the schedule include our PowerKids Duathlon, the USAT Elite Duathlon National Championship (10k/60k/10k,) the Powerman Alabama Duathlon (10k/60k/10k,) the NEW Team Magic Signature Duathlon (5k/40k/5k) and the Double Oak Duathlon (2.5k/20k/2.5k.)
May 29th - McMinnville, TN - Due to the cancelation of the GJCC Memorial Day Triathlon in Nashville, the good folks in McMinnville agreed to adjust our race with them to Memorial Day Weekend and shorten the race distances so we can continue to offer a beginner entry level distance event early season. McMinnville is situated about 75 miles southeast of Nashville and 75 miles Northeast of Chattanooga - a great location, a great course and great hospitality!

May 31st - Birmingham, AL - The LJCC Triathlon is taking place for the first time in 2010, replacing our previous YTRI beginner friendly triathlon held at the YMCA Mountain Brook for many years. Some may also remember the "Summer Sizzler Off-Road Triathlon" held in the late 90's... at the LJCC! The 2010 version offers an "on road" and "off road" option for the bike segment. Great beginner race...great sprint race for seasoned racers... cool option for off-road junkies... or make it a relay team!

June 12th - Birmingham, AL - Celebrating 23 years in 2010, this race honors the life of Buster Britton - one of the Birmingham area's original triathletes that lost his life in a fun run after completing the Hawaii Ironman only a short time earlier. Buster was a true inspiration for triathletes as the sport began to take shape in Alabama. While this race is attractive for beginners, it is also widely respected by seasoned racers - it serves as the state of Alabama Best of the USA Amateur National Championship Qualifier as well as Junior Regional Qualifier for the ITU Sprint Distance World Championship.

June 26th - Hendersonville, TN - just North of Metro Nashville - 2010 marks the 9th year of this unique triathlon where the run is split into two segments. Great local support by the cities of Hendersonville & Gallatin & Sumner County adds a special touch.

July 11th - Chattanooga, TN - This sellout intermediate distance triathlon has quickly become one of the top races in the southeast. In fact, it serves as the USAT Southeast Regional Championship and National Championship Qualifier. Brought to you by Chattanooga Track Club and Team Magic in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Be ready for a fast, down river swim, a challenging bike course and a scenic run along the city's riverwalk. Chattanooga is a great place to bring the family too!
Race Distances - 1.5k swim / 42k bike / 10k run
July 25th - Nashville, TN - For the 2nd year, this 32 year old triathlon will be held in downtown Nashville, adjacent to LP Field, home of the NFL Tennessee Titans. Two race distances are offered. Racers will swim in the Cumberland River, bike traffic free on a completely closed Ellington Parkway, and run through the heart of downtown Nashville's business and entertainment district.

August 14th - Guntersville, AL - This sprint race is not to be missed - a favorite for from the beginners to the elite due to the flat, fast course, great post-race pool side party, and of course the infamous tie-dye shirts and beach towels! Has held the honor of USAT Sprint National Championship. Come see what all the talk is about - decide early, this race will sell out.

August 28th - Lebanon, TN - just east of Metro Nashville - this popular sprint triathlon is held at the beautiful Cedars of Lebanon State Park, about 30 miles outside of downtown Nashville. The swim takes place in the newly resurfaced first olympic size outdoor pool in the Nashville area, more than 30 year old! The park setting is beautiful and the support from park staff and the Friends of Cedars volunteers is the great. Be sure to register early as this race sells out each year!

Sept 11th - Gulf Shores, AL - The Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon and its' new little sister the Coastal "Tri It On" Triathlon have found their home. Hosted by The Hangout for the 1st time in 2009, the reviews were awesome. Enjoy a perfect race setting with the gulf of mexico, your main staging area, finish line, packet pick up, pre-race dinner and post-race party all in one spot, at one of the few restaurants sitting on the beach... welcome to The Hangout... a 1950's beachside hangout brought back to life in the same location. Team Magic partners with the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission and the cities of Orange Beach & Gulf Shores and Gulf State Park to bring you the best beach race around. Choose from an intermediate distance (olympic) race or a short, beginner friendly triathlon - either way, the party is on us.

November 27th - Orange Beach, AL - Shed your turkey with us at the beach on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Bring the whole family to enjoy the weekend on Alabama's beautiful gulf coast. From a 1 mile fun run to a 5k run to a half-marathon run - a distance for everyone. Enjoy running on the peaceful, scenic paved trails through Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, then join us for the post-race party at the Orange Beach Sportsplex - plenty of beer for those 21 and over and lots of other food and drink sponsored by local beach restaurants.
