<p>Thank you so much for joining us for the J-Rag Buster Britton Memorial Triathlon! You will be receiving another email from us early next Thursday with race reminders and a link to your race information booklet. You can look forward to great Zorrell performance quality shirts and over $5,000 in great awards and prizes from Bob's Bikes and our Fueling Sponsors!<br />

Oak Mountain State Park fees are $3 dollars per person to enter. To avoid your fee on FRIDAY only for packet pick up, present your confirmation email at gate.You will need to have this confirmation letter, USAT card for members and a photo ID to pick your race packet. Please understand our registration and packet pick up volunteers cannot accept excuses due to liability issues. If your computer has spam setting you may want to make sure that Team Magic is accepted.</p>
<p><strong>COURSE INFORMATION</strong><br />
Courses are marked in green ink for turns and miles. Bike lanes when present are part of the course and will be used. Please be EXTREMELY careful when you exit and enter bikes lanes onto main park road. The "lip" betweenthe 2 areas of concrete is low in areas and can be dangerous if you are not watching for it. WE were not allowed to mark the whole "lip" so please know to BE CAREFUL! Bike pot holes, however are marked in the bike lane only, except for 2 rather large areas on main park road. They are in blue. Bike course will be cleaned on Friday, before the race.</p>

<p>The Buster Britton Triathlon is held at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. It is located about fifteen miles south of Birmingham, AL. Take exit 246 off of I-65. Look for signs for Oak Mt. State Park. Turn on State Park Road off of Hwy 119 just off the Interstate exit. Look for the Amoco and Pizza Hut on State Park Road. Follow signs into the park. Take State Park Road to the first stop sign and turn left. You must pay $3 at the main gate to enter the park. Turn right a couple of miles past the main entrance on Terrace Drive. Race site is at the MAIN PARK OFFICE on Terrace Drive, less than a mile from the main park road on your right.</p>

Team Magic's next events are the McMinnville City Triathlon on Saturday, June 23rd - great course, awesome atmosphere for hanging out after the race at their very festive outdoor pool! On July 15th we celebrate our 3rd year downtown with the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon. The race limit is 1200 racers this year, so be sure to register soon.<br />

Finally, we are awarding a complimentary entry to the first person to email back with the date of the first ever Oak Mountain Spring Triathlon (which is now our Buster Britton Triathlon.) Must send some type of proof.<br />

THE BASICS:<br />
<br />
1. You must present a photo i.d. and your USAT membership card (if you are a member) to receive your race packet. If you have lost your USAT card, please go to www.usatriathlon.org to print a temporary card.<br />
<br />
If you do not have your USAT card, you will be required to pay the $10 one day fee. If you do not have a photo id, you will not be able to race.<br />
<br />
If you are not a USAT member, you likely paid your $10 fee with your registration fee, if not, you will be asked to pay at packet pick up.<br />
<br />
2. Parking: NO PARKING on Terrace Drive. This is your race course and cars will seriously impede the race flow. There is plenty of parking at the Canoe Area, Beach Area, and Picnic Areas. Note that the race staging has moved to the Park Admin Lot before the beach area lot where the transition was in 2006.<br />
<br />
3. Biking before and after the event: the local police ask that you please obey traffic laws and wear a helmet when riding your bike before and after the event. <br />
<br />
4. Toilets/Facilities: There are toilets and showers at the beach area restroom facilities and toilets at the registration area.<br />
<br />
5. All racers must wear an AMB timing chip to be scored. You will pick up your timing chip on race morning at the white tent behind the finish line and return it at the same location when you complete the race. If you cannot complete the race, please turn your chip in at this location. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PAPER BIB NUMBER TO SHOW TO PICK UP YOUR TIMING CHIP AND GET BODY MARKED ON RACE MORNING.<br />

6. Wrist Bands: We will be placing a wrist band on each racer when you pick up your race packet. This wrist band is your "full access" pass to all areas of race weekend that are limited to racers, race staff, and race officials. Please keep this band on for identification purposes. It is intended to be for your safety and to control the race atmosphere. Thanks so much!<br />
