Road
Cycling Skills
6-8pm Wednesday nights
May 30-June 27
Meets at the Parthenon
The first section of Road Cycling Skills has
been so successful that we are going to repeat this curriculum. The
basic idea is this: Lear to ride your bike on the road with more skills,
technique and confidence than you ever thought possible. This class
begins with the basic basics, and progress to advanced handling skills.
You will learn these abilities:
- Stop and start at any time.
- Slow to a walking pace to get through
intersections and avoid hazards.
- Look behind you. Ride one handed to
drink or signal.
- Ride defensively among traffic.
- Become stable on your bike so you can
even bump other riders.
- Turn on a dime.
- Clip in and clip out confidently.
- Shift, corner, and climb like a champ.
- Change a flat.
These are just some of the skills that we
cover in road cycling. Suffice it to say, if road riding intimidates
you this class will help.
Registration is 79.00 for this 4
week class.
Join both Road Cycling and Triathlon
Training for 119.00.
