Brett/Robinson Becomes Title Sponsor of
Alabama Coastal Triathlon
New $4,990 Cash Purse

Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL—The Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission proudly announces that Brett/Robinson Vacation Rentals has become the title sponsor of the Alabama Coastal Triathlon, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2008.
“The Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission is excited to have Brett/Robinson as the title sponsor for the triathlon,” said Michelle Russ, Sports and Events Sales Manager for the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission. “We are expecting over 500 athletes from across the country to participate in this second year event. Team Magic has an excellent reputation in the triathlon world and we are excited to be partnering with them once again in 2008.

Likewise, Marie Curren, Director of Marketing and Reservations for Brett/Robinson Vacation Rentals, shares the same sentiment.
“We are delighted to be part of this great sporting event,” Curren said. “There is no better place to enjoy the scenic beauty offered by the Alabama Gulf Coast.”

Returning to Gulf Shores for the second year, the triathlon will include a 1,000 yard swim in the gulf followed by 19.5 mile bike and then a 4.6 mile run to the finish line. In 2006, 226 athletes participated in this event, which is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event and serves as the organization’s Intermediate Distance Alabama State Championships.

The Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon is a production of the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission and Team Magic, a race management team with over 30 years of experience.
