	WELCOME TO THE BMW OF CHATTANOOGA WATERFRONT TRIATHLON! Welcome to our 3rd year of this great downtown triathlon! Team Magic and the Chattanooga Track Club hope you truly enjoy the event and welcome any feedback at races@team-magic.com. The following link is a portion of your RACE INSTRUCTIONS BOOKLET. This booklet contains all of the basic details you need for the weekend. You will receive this booklet along with sponsor information and ads along with your race packet at packet pick up. It is important you review the information in this booklet for race start information, shuttle departure times to the swim start, and all other race details. You will find the event schedule, information on the new bike course and revised run course, hotel options and all of the details you need regarding rules, logistics, and event flow. Click HERE for a direct link to the event home page. THE BASICS: 1. You must present a photo i.d. and your USAT membership card (if you are a member) to receive your race packet. If you have lost your USAT card, please go to www.usatriathlon.org to print a temporary card. If you do not have your USAT card, you will be required to pay the $10 one day fee. If you do not have a photo id, you will not be able to race. If you are not a USAT member, you likely paid your $10 fee with your registration fee, if not, you will be asked to pay at packet pick up. 2. Parking: If you are staying close by, of course you can bike to the race start. There is a parking area available adjacent to the race transition area - no fees will be charged race morning. 3. Biking before and after the event: the local police ask that you please obey traffic laws and wear a helmet when riding your bike before and after the event. 4. Toilets/Facilities: There will be portable toilets in the parking lot adjacent to the transition area, at the bike turnaround, and at the swim start area. There are other restroom facilities located near water stops along the run course. 5. All racers must wear an AMB timing chip to be scored. You will pick up your timing chip on race morning at the white tent in the transition area and return it at the race finish line. If you cannot complete the race, please turn your chip in at the finish line. 6. Wrist Bands: We will be placing a wrist band on each racer when you pick up your race packet. This wrist band is your "full access" pass to all areas of race weekend that are limited to racers, race staff, and race officials. Please keep this band on for identification purposes. It is intended to be for your safety and to control the race atmosphere. Thanks so much! 7. Packet Pick Up: Expo and Packet Pick Up Opens at 12 pm on Saturday and closes at 7 pm. Race day packet pick up opens at 5:30 am and closes at 6:45 am. 8. Directions: YAHOO! map The main staging area is on Riverfront Parkway on the waterfront side of the Chattanooga Aquarium. Take I-24 into Chattanooga. Take Exit 178 onto US-27. Go about 1.2 miles to exit 1A, or look for signs for downtown Chattanooga and the Tennessee Aquarium. The major downtown streets of Broad and Market will lead you to the Aquarium and Chestnut Street will lead you to Riverfront Parkway, the main drive along the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga. Event parking will be under the Olgiati Bridge. 9. Race Start Information: All of this information is in your RACE INSTRUCTIONS link, but for those that might not read that, this is a point to point swim course. You will ride a shuttle based on your race number, which is your start position, to get to the swim start. Please visit the web site and/or download your race instructions for more details, thanks! NEW THIS YEAR - DVD's of Race Available from Race Sponsor Fire Eye Productions Fire Eye Productions, Inc., a Chattanooga based award-winning video production company and media sponsor of the BMW of Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon is producing a 20-30 minute documentary of this year's triathlon. The DVD documentary will include footage from the events, professional narration, music and interview clips from several athletes and event organizers. Every athlete that orders a copy of the DVD will be featured several times in the finished documentary. WE GUARANTEE IT! DOWNLOAD ORDER FORM TEAM MAGIC SUPPORTS TRIATHLETES FOR AFRICA EFFORT Team Magic is proud to support this great cause spearheaded by Nashville area triathlete Chad Nikazy. The charity�s work will result in thousands of running shoes being donated by Triathletes from across the United States and distributed by a number of partners in places like the Kibera slum in downtown Nairobi, Sudan, and Uganda. Please remember to bring your old running shoes to donate to this cause at the following Team Magic events this season: BMW Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon, Cedars of Lebanon Triathlon, Mountain Lakes Triathlon, Old Hickory Lake Triathlon, and Music City Triathlon. Remember to bring your children�s shoes as well, as they will be donated to orphanages throughout Africa.
