Welcome to the 1st Annual Alabama Coastal Triathlon!
We are so happy to have you racing with us at this inaugural event. Please tell your friends that online registration does close at midnight on Wednesday night if they want to pre-register. There will be registration at the race site from 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm on Saturday and race morning from 5:30 am - 6:30 am.
The following link is to basic pages from the race booklet you will receive at packet pick up: race timeline, maps, rules, parking info, etc... Please take the time to review this now, especially if you are picking up your packet on race morning.

THE BASICS:
1. You must present a photo i.d. and your USAT membership card (if you are a member) to receive your race packet. If you have lost your USAT card, please go to www.usatriathlon.org to print a temporary card.
If you do not have your USAT card, you will be required to pay the $10 one day fee. If you do not have a photo id, you will not be able to race.
If you are not a USAT member, you likely paid your $10 fee with your registration fee, if not, you will be asked to pay at packet pick up.
2. Parking: please print the parking pass from the race booklet link above for complimentary parking at the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion on Saturday for packet pick up and Sunday for the race. This year, there should be sufficient parking at the event site, but if you are staying close by, feel free to roll down on your bike for a warm up!
3. Biking before and after the event: the local police ask that you please obey traffic laws and wear a helmet when riding your bike before and after the event.
4. Toilets/Facilities: There will be portable toilets in the parking lot but there are also toilets available at the pavilion. There are also showers available.
5. Timing: All racers must wear an AMB timing chip to be scored. You will pick up your timing chip on race morning at the white tent behind the finish line and return it at the same location when you complete the race. If you cannot complete the race, please turn your chip in at this location.
6. Wrist Bands: We will be placing a wrist band on each racer when you pick up your race packet. This wrist band is your "full access" pass to all areas of race weekend that are limited to racers, race staff, and race officials. Please keep this band on for identification purposes. It is intended to be for your safety and to control the race atmosphere. Thanks so much!
7. Swim Start: You will start based on your race number which was assigned based on your estimated swim time you turned in with your registration. This is a time trial / individual start swim which will allow a much safer, smoother start for all of you.
8. Race Age: You are racing based on your age as of 12/31/07 per USA Triathlon rules.
9. Run Course: We made a slight change to improve the run course turnaround area (now at the Romar Beach Access Area) - this change makes the course 4.5 miles total.
